I used to have 2 piggies who would cuddle up for hours on my lap, and 1 who always seemed so scared of me when she was out of the cage. In the cage, she was, and still is the one who comes running up to the bars first to see me.
I now have 3 piggies who are scared to sit with me, but all 3 still come running to see me, as long as they are in their cage. None of them seem to want to spend any time with me anymore.
Ok I was away for a week. But they were being cared for by my mum. As soon as I come home, I had them out, and the 2 who liked me still did. For about 3 days anyway. Now after being back home for just under 2 weeks, they are all scared to sit with me.
The only reason I can think of is the fact that I have started new medication and I constantly have the shakes with it.
Where I haven't been spending enough time with them, I failed to notice just how long one of the piggies nails are. Ok they aren't curled in or anything, but they look way too long to me, and I feel so guilty for not noticing.
Looks like I will have to pay a visit to the "wonderful" P@H this week to get them trimmed as thats the cheapest I have found it for at a very expensive £8 each!
All the people I would trust to do it have never even handled piggies, let alone cutting their nails!
I just hope I can gain the piggies trust again soon!
