Junior Guinea Pig
I got up this morning and went to see the boys as there in the outside hutch in this nice weather and Arnie was in the corner which is not like him as usually he is super glued to the hip with Dylan his eyes were really sunken in his head like little slits and his tummy was all swollen up and when you touched him a big gasp of air came out his mouth thats what is sounded like not sure if it was and he is very wet in his chin area. I immediately rang out of hours and rushed him there i trust my vets and i was in such a state i dont really know whats wrong with him other than he is a really sick piggie i think the vet said bloat but i cant be sure as he was more interested in treating Arnie, Arnie did however bite him very hard on the thumb and drew blood but he never usually does. I will keep you informed on how he is doing but i have to work today and will be worried sick but i know he is in the best place. Just wanted to share as you understand how upsetting having a sick piggie is as there our world not just pets.
He's definitely in the best place. Vets usually don't mind you ringing every couple of hours for updates, so if you want to find out how he's doing then don't feel bad about giving them a call.
