Hi,

I have been on several guniea-pig websites regarding list of safe vegetables to feed guinea-pigs. I have just found one website which says 'Don't give your piggies beetroot leaves'@)

I'm confused and worried now as I've just given my piggy beetroot leaves because I have checked if it is allowed and several sites said it is but this one says it isn't..... Which one should I agree with, and what do you think?

Have you ever given your piggies beet leafs?

Thanks

i've never tried it personally
i always stick to things i know are definately good for piggies; if in doubt don't give it to them.

I've fed them to my piggies in the past. They are high in something so generally they should be given every now and again, not on a regular or weekly basis.

Hello,
I think once in a few weeks should be fine.
Beetroot greens are High oxalates and high in vit. A (61 IU/g).
:D
