Hi, it's been a while since I have been on here. Max has been diagnosed with Arthritis in his knees and he is finding it uncomfortable to walk. He is on loxicom which is like metacam and emiprid as he has been a little bloated.
I know that he can have vegan glucosamine to help but what is the dose for him? Can I get it at somewhere like Holland and Barratt?
Are there any veg that can aggravate or help it. I seem to remember that peppers aren't good but can't find where I might have heard that before.
Thanks

You may find the natural science joint supplement from Oxbow helpful. It is sold quite widely online.

To my knowledge there is no veg that directly aggravates arthritis or helps to alleviate it.

I have always bought vegan glucosamine online. I think my last pot was made by Deva. As Wiebke has mentioned, the Oxbow joint supplement may help too. I am starting to look into this with my Tim too, as he is almost 7 and starting to show signs of being an old pig. A low dose of Metacam is helping but we will need to add in the glucosamine too.

I have used the oxbow for my older piggies, it seemed to help. The tablets are a bit big but can be broken up or fed mushed.xx
