he was a friendly pig until he got his legs tangled in hay which made him paralised for a week or so but since then he has rejected any other males in the run, but recently he has been looking down and dejected, so I tried baby murphy ( carrie annes new pig) well you would have thought I had introduced a mad strangler he hid in his towel hes taken to lying under and shook, now this is artie we are talking about big bolshy stroppy artie, I took murphy out put him in with carrie annes scooby who also looked shocked although now its settled down, but arties attitude changes so often one minute hes a gentle giant then hes a stroppy old sod then hes a nervous wreck,hes on his own again but still looks fed up I have been walking about with him in my arms wrapped up and chatting away, hes eaten apple and grass from me doesn't seem ill any ideas what would cheer him up apart from a sexy female, ?
 
Funnily enough I have a 1yr boy I recently got to pair up with Pooks but this gorgeous boy seems to like me more than other pigs! When I put him down with Pookie on several occasions he sniffed him and ran up my lap! If the other two boys go round his cage he hides in his house. He stands up at the cage waiting for me to pick him up and sit down with him laying under my chin all evening, its strange how some boys go. I've never had a piggy who prefers me to other pigs before, but he definately doesn't like the other three almost scared of them all.
 
I'm just worried as I'm away next week for 2 weeks and my son and mum might not cuddle him like i do dont want him pining for me maybe i could sneak him in my suitcase, lol

Michelle, are there any resuces near you with neutered girlies? I found a lady near us who had a couple of girls she had had neutered after difficult pregnancies who we put in with lonely Bowie, and he is happy as the proverbial pig in muck!
 
trouble is where i live on the Isle of wight we dont have any rescues at all, so am really stuck carrie anne is giving him a cuddle at the moment because of my cold and cough am worried I can pass it on to add to his misery, am going to sit and think hard what to do with him , he looks so down ,

;D bless poor old artie ::) aww dont know what to suggest perhaps a soft toy ? never had any luck myself but its suppose to work ? :-\ perhaps u could drees it up with sexy knickers lol :D
 
Oh Artie what's wrong boy? Any other boys you could try him with?
I like the idea of a stuffed toy, that's what i gave Duke after Sully went to the bridge. He tosses his Brownie around and hides under him and of course poops and wees on him :embarassed:

will dig out a toy tomorrow will try anything for the silly twit, cant understand why hes turned funny seems lonely and yet doesn't want to be with anyone else maybe try him in another run instead of them in his , he will only eat veggies and hay as well has gone off of his dried food teeth seem fine not bloated with gas again, :(
 
arties got some new food to tempt him for a few days on metatone which he loved and has now got a stuffed toy leapord thats lying down he quite likes him although looked puzzled by the tail lol hes given him a good sniff and a knock about as if to say what you doing here! will try to get some pics, daft pig 98)
