Can a guinea pigs be asthmatic!?
Cause looks like I will be taking Alfie back to the vets as he's got a cold again, wouldn't have a clue how he gets them like as he's in my bedroom which is lovely and warm!
Looks like he will be back on the baytril over Christmas ):

What bedding does he live on?

Guinea pigs can have allergies i believe. What are his symptoms? :) Hope he gets better soon xx

He's on sawdust, but he's always been on sawdust!
Like last time he had it, like breathing quite fast and sneezing

Took Alfie the vets this morning and he said that he's got a little chest infection so he's gave him baytril and tablets!
Dread trying to give him his tablets, vet said we can crush it up with water!
Vet also said that you can add Ribena (no added sugar) to bayril so it takes better is this right!? If yes how much!?

I really recommend you switching to fleece. Shavings are not healthy for guinea pigs. I am sure his chest would not be so bad. Think how low to the ground he is and breathing in all that dust. I used to use shavings myself until I knew about fleece now I would never go back to them.

IF this is a reccuring thing, it might be worth trying fleece to see if it makes a difference. It definatly made a difference with my boys.

I'm not sure about the ribena, hopefully someone will be along to advise.

Hope he gets well soon. x
