My 2 girls have always turned their noses up at timothy hay. They much prefer orchard grass, or meadow hay at a push. I took a risk any got some timothy hay from "dust free hay". Thankfully it paid off and they love it....phew.
I'm going to have to try that too then. Can't find anything they eat that I'm happy with too.. a lot seem to have very dodgy spiky bits In or dusty or not a single blade of anything remotely green. The for the info
Mine love Dust Free Hay. It may be a bit pricey but I believe in the end it is worth it as there is less waste because my guinea pigs eat most of it compared to other cheaper hay.
I do continue to give cheaper hay which can be mainly used as bedding.
They had a hay buffet today! A layer of cheapy hay over the sawdust to stop them tracking sawdust all over the fleece. Timothy hay at one end, and orchard hay at the other. They didn't know what to do with themselves lol
