This morning I got up later then usual so the piggies didn't end up getting fed until 12ish ( bad piggy mummy, I know! ) so as I was pottering about in the kitchen I look down and there's Athena standing beside the fridge. Feeling guilty I gave her a bit of lettuce while I was getting there food together so she polished that off then started getting up on her hind legs begging for more. I gave her a little bit of cucumber then hearded her back in to the cage so I could feed them all.

Now tonight me and Steven were busy making pizzas and Steven turned round and she was back at the fridge again. I'm sure she's learned from this morning, she was looking up at us as if to say "feed me" so I opened the fridge, pulled off a bit of lettuce and gave it to her. She didn't flinch at all when the fridge opened and came further into the kitchen when she'd finished as she clearly wanted more.

I'm sure she was a dog in a past life :))

:)) i often think my dottie was a dog in her former life too. Piggies sure know how to beg well, us slaves are so under the thumb!

That's so adorable and reminds me of my old guinea pig, Itchy. RIP.

He used to hop out of his cage, run into the living room and squeak at our feet when he wanted food. :))

Be warned - you may have opened the box of Pandora here, not just the fridge door...

This is as far as my Minx got when hub couldn't decide on what to have for lunch; she was on a dedicated mission to find the source of all food!

PS: Minx was more like my minidog that followed me everywhere through the house and garden. She has left me with so many special memories.

AWWWW! Minx, you are a very cheeky piggy :)) what a beauty x)

Rodney would do that all the time. When I was in the kitchen making dinner he would be 2 steps behind me all the time, following me from 1 end of the kitchen to the other until I gave him something to eat lol! All the while he would be wheeking and wheeking..

WHen I would sit and eat salads, he would get up on his back legs and stand against mine licking my legs, or if I had trousers on he would lick my feet until I gave him something to eat :(|)

He definitely thought he was a dog. :))
