Junior Guinea Pig
I am currently in the process of rescuing two little piggies and wanted to get them the best hutch I could. I ended up ordering the Sharples and Grant Hutch N Run X Large from PetPlanet.co.uk. I took it out of the box and not only was the hutch awful quality (definitely not suitable for outdoor use) it was totally damaged (most of the wood had split) and dirty! It also had a funny chemical smell to it, my mum said it smelled like Creosote (although I don't know for sure anything like that has been used but it smelled chemically)! No way was I going to put two little rescue piggies in it!
So, I headed down to my local Country Wide store where I purchased a Lockes 2 Tier Hutch (£159 reduced from £199, only £9.01 more than that sharples one!). The hutch is huge (6ft) and amazing quality, I also think I will easily be able to fix the 7ft run I bought onto it it easily so the boys can have a great time in the summer! Anyway! I just wanted to advise anyone against buying a sharples hutch, I'm quite glad the hutch was so bad because now I've got one I think they will like even more! I've added a few pics below and one of the new hutch, it's not all set up yet but it's going to be a true piggie palace when it's finished!
