I have 2 guinea pig's and thought they were both sow's untill 2 days again anyway got My Tucker nurtured today and Pippin has been so quiet when she is usually very lively and noisey.
As in seperate cages there are missing each other so much so have put there cages next to each other in the kitchen with candles all around them and they are chating to 1 another is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lovely to hear :smitten: Pippin is sooooooooooooooooooo high pitched she sounds sooo excited I can't wait for them to be back together the poor things. :smitten: :smitten:
Sorry to ramble but me and my hubby are sitting here welling up and no1 else is interested. Is a shame my kids haven't heard them x

Awwwww well you did the right thing O0 It keeps them both together in the end :smitten:

i would not have got a piggy desexed, to put them under that stress and the recovery etc. and aussie vets agree. but UK vets and people believe and do things differently and i respect that. what i would have done is either halved the cage or got a bigger cage and halved that. hoping your baby recovers soon and that the babies can be together again. hugs and cuddles to you and your babies. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

I did try and half the cage but only had these wood slates which the 2 of them had down in minutes so had no choice but to seperate them into cages. Feel bad enough about getting him done but it's not desexed is it? I mean he will still have nookie and think like a male just can't make me loads of babies!?! ?

hey,
i am sorry if i have offended you i didn't mean too. i was only voicing my opinion. we have 2 girls one has had surgery and we have halved the cage by putting a cooling rack in it and cable tying it. agin i am sorry for offending you, it's like i said in my post people in the UK believe in desexing their piggies and the UK vets are more knowledgable in piggies.vets here in australia don't believe desexing piggies-males as i beileve it is unnescressary stress for piggy and vets aren't that knowing. i am glad you baby is getting better and that your babies are making kissy noises. hugs and cuddles to you and your babies :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:and again i am sorry. i didn't mean to make you feel bad. maybe i just shouldn't post for a while. so sorry.:'( :'( :'(

Don't be daft it takes more then that to upset me ;D

Just I've been upset all day about it as wouldn't have wanted this situtation at all but they have been living together and got on so well, hopefully not to well :P
He has been out and about tho and there is no fluid or blood on the fleece so hoping he is doing well poor thing. He just been rumbling to Pippin think i've got a goer lol. xx

how are your babies going? still talking to each other or are they back together now? hubby's are all big sooks i know mine is but you didn't hear it from me. hugs and cuddles to your babies. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

Yep there still talking to each other and trying to find away of breaking through to get to each other! ^-^
How long do I have to keep them apart for? I was gonna put him back in as soon as his scars are healed but vet said wait 6 weeks but i think she is already preg so can't see the point! ::)

but you dont know if she is definatly preggers? so i still wouldnt risk it :)
