hello could any of you guys tell me how old my baby piggies have to be before they can go in the run with mummy piggie?

thanks
Lisa

when they can't fit through the bars / gaps and when it's a nice warm day until they are older. How old are your babies?

thanks! my babies are only a week old so i know they are way too young yet but just wondered what sort of age they could x

I got mine at 8 weeks, we have an indoor run and put them in it after we had had them for a few weeks, they were way to small and all escaped! We left it a few more weeks and they are fine in there now. The gaps on your run may be smaller so in which case they maybe ok in there sooner.

Agree - you'd be surprised how they can fit through small gaps in runs either underneath if it's on uneven ground or even the run itself.

Yes 1 week too young - I'd leave it until 8 weeks or more personally.

I would leave it to a sunny, warm, but not hot day when they are too big to get through any gaps in the run (babies can squeeze through amazingly small cracks) and when the lawn is warm and dry to your bare feet.

I would also start slowly, both on getting them used to eating increasing amounts of fresh juicy grass without tummy upsets as well as the time they spend on the lawn. They can go out for a supervised half an hour to an hour from about 4 weeks onwards once they are fully weaned and used to eating grass on a suitably sunny and calm day.
