Senior Guinea Pig
Bear with me on this one!
I've been feeding Big Dave (and consquently Boxy!) critical care with extra vit C, as Big Dave has lost a lot of weight and isn't eating like he used to.
I've previously mixed it with water, and with pureed fruit and/or veg to make a paste-like consistency, and they LOVE it - they have a small bowl of it each night and by the morning it's gone.
What I want to know, is whether it's ok to feed baby food to guinea pigs? I'm not talking about cottage pie or anything, but like the pureed fruit or veg? I had a look when I went shopping last night and there are some which say the only ingredients are fruit and/or veg. They don't even list any preservatives or anything. Are these ok? They wouldn't have them all the time, just when I don't have time to stand and puree fruit/veg for them!
