We got our guinea pigs last night. When we got them home we noticed that one had a little bit of white crusty stuff at the bottom of his eye. Didn't think too much of it. This morning we noticed that that eye has a milky discharge and that eye isn't open as wide as the other. What can I do to make it better? Oh and The cage has the aspen wood shavings in it. I had bought a huge bag weeks before buying them trying to get prepared. Probably a bad idea huh?

Hi! It sounds like an eye injury. Please have your guinea pig seen by a vet promptly; eye injuries can deteriorate very quickly. If you noticed the problem upon arrival and the injury has happened before you bought them, then you can reclaim any vet cost from the seller (it comes under selling damaged products). The sooner you can treat, the easier and the quicker the eye will heal with the help of antibiotic eye drops/gel.
