Morning.
after the sad passing of daisy Adopted 2 baby guinea pigs to keep princess company. One of them has now developed a skin problem and I need to know how to treat her at home. My vet is only seeing life threatening conditions so I can’t take her for a check Up.She was fine up until I noticed it today, the only change in routine is being out in the hutch while the weathers been nice. I’ll attach a photo to see what I’m talking about.

It is impossible to diagnose from just a photo but the problem is that it may be fungal, and possibly ringworm.
If this is the case them it can spread to humans and become a problem.

Is it possible to speak to your vet again and express your concerns about the possibility of a fungal infection, which can only be effectively diagnosed and treated by a vet?
If not I would consider trying to find another vet who can help.
Many will now do online and photo consultations and arrange for meds ot be delivered if required.
At the very least can you send your own vet a photo and e-mail explaining the problem, and asking if they can prescribe something for you to collect at a safe distance?
