Baby guinea pig with heart condition

I just wondered if anyone had had a guinea pig with a heart problem before?

i have a 7 week old guinea pig with what seems to be a problem with her heart. There is nothing the vets can do. She is eating and quite lively but is not thriving very well.

I wondered if anyone had experienced this before and if there was anything else I can do for her.

Any advice would be appreciated

Post on the GuineaLynx forum. There are many, many piggies there on heart meds. There are several people in the UK as well - one of whom I think actually got the Edinburgh university vet school involved in treating her pig's condition. I think her username over there is Trick.

I have never knowing had a guinea pig with a heart condition, but my Fizz died suddenly overnight back in April. Nothing appeared wrong with her and then she was gone. I guess that may have been her heart.

I hope some other members know something about heart problems for you.
