Help..... after the saga of Kipper & Mavis and his infeasibly large testicles( wow how many years since I read Viz?) sorry Back to the point Mavis had successful castration, kipper turned from guinea pool into the best mum in the world to 3 little cuties. Problem now starts, 1 baby is little self ginger boy or ginger nuts as we like to call him. He is 4 wks old on Tuesday and I caught him rumbling, strutting, and generally sizing up the rear of 1 of his sisters this morning! do I need to get him out now & does he still need Kipper's milk, or is he self sufficient enough to cope without her. He has a fab loving home lined up, but I wasn't anticipating parting with him just yet. Also what is the ideal age to remove the other baby from Mum?
Thanks Katharine

He needs to be seperated now. Boars can reproduce from 3 weeks, No longer needs his mum's milk :)

He will wheek a lot from being seperated, but best all round :)

Should I get him settled in another room out of sight/smell/earshot?

You should definitely separate him from the girls. Some boars have needed to be separated as early as two weeks, but I always separate them at 3 weeks. As far as being in another room, it depends on the piggy and his behavior. Good luck and keep us posted!

You don't need to do that - although they will all wheek to each other. It may even settle him down after a while.

He's the only boy?

Yes he is the only boy. He has a great home lined up but I'm not really happy with him being alone but I haven't found anyone who has put two baby boys together.?
