Junior Guinea Pig
I sadly lost Chive a short while ago and am thinking of introducing a baby boar to Chive's bereaved hutchmate Mandril. Mandril is on a low calcium diet with minimal Burgess excel nuggets but I'm not sure such a diet would be suitable for a growing baby (6 weeks+). Mandril is just coming up to 12 months. My exotics vet recommended the low calcium diet for all my pigs.
Any advice please? I also have 2 hormonally fuelled males (14 months) who would not take kindly to another adult male in the room albeit in a different hutch, hence the baby suggestion.
