Hi, just wonderin what age baby pigs should be before rehoming them from a store bought cage into a c&c? Don't want any little heads to get stuck or anything!

hi i have had little piggies in c&c cages from only a few weeks old the first one used to run out and we would find her in the living room so we blocked off that bit with a piece of wood, the second piggy isn't interested and the third still keeps sticking his head through. i think it depends on the piggy. if the C&C cage will be against walls i dont see a problema dn with the other parts i would suggest the mesh grids until they are bigger.

my boy is about 13 weeks old and can still fit his head through. mallethead

Could you maybe make the coroplast around the edges higher, or use cardboard or something so that they can't get their heads through?

When Cenci was born he could get through the bars of his hutch so I put cardboard round the sides, about 6 inches high, until he was about 4 weeks.

Have you already made the C&C? Wickes sell cubes with very small mesh - I doubt that a mouse would be able to get its head through, let alone a piggy of any size!

Thanks for the advice everyone :)
Yeah I have the c&c built with b&q grids.
The edges of the correx are four inches high so I wonder how high I'd need them to be.
I dont think they'll try to escape but I'm just afraid if they get spooked they'll get stuck
