The final pregnant lady, Saffron, from the rescue all with suspected ringworm has littered today:)

Baby Saskia arrived this afternoon after a bit of a struggle. She weighed in at a whopping 158gs and got well and truly stuck. Fortunately I was at home today and was able to help Saffron, I honestly dont think she would have been able to deliver such a huge baby by herself.

Mum and baby are doing well and poor Saffron is enjoying a much needed and deserved rest :)

Proud mum, Saffron and her beautiful daughter ( 2 hours old)

I haven't posted this in the rehoming section as I'm not sure these 2 girls will be looking for a new home .................................:x:))

OMG - poor Saffron! That must be the biggest baby we've had so far on TGPF! :))

I am glad you were there to help, so that Saffron and her beautiful daughter are both alive and thriving.

And I can fully understand why you would struggle to see either leave you...drooldrooldrooldrool

What a gorgeous piggy! Mommy bought a little tear to my eye as she looks just like my winnie pig who passed away last year. She's the piggy in my pic <--

On a positive note, mommy and baby look fab!

Well done x

I can totally empathise with Saffron... Oliver was also stuck! Rest well mommy and welcome to the world baby Saskia!^)

Saskia is stunning. That made my heart leapx)x)

Oh bless her now that is one big baby! Lovely pair of piggies a credit to your good care x

Aw, what a cutie Saskia is, she's all curly and cute! x)

Well done Saffron - and Teresa too!

How is Saffron doing after her ordeal? At least, she has only one pup to look after; that should help.

Wow! She really is HUGE! But so beautiful... no wonder you're keeping them x)

Saffron seems to be doing very well, thanks Wiebke :)

She is up and about and eating well - baby Saskia is also nubbling on hay !

I'm afraid her appearance wasn't quite as calm and dignified as I would have liked it to be - rather like a tug-of-war with poor Saskia in the middle:{ Mum and baby are both having Arnica to help with the shock and hopefully this will also help with the bruising which I'm sure poor Saffron must have.

Poor Saffron what an ordeal! Brilliant that both are ok after that and they really are gorgeous. x) Don't blame you for wanting to keep them.

Wow big baby. Well done to everyone and here's hoping she's not too sore.

Beautiful story and beautiful guineas x)x)
