I weighed my little 5 week old boar today and he's come in at approx 420g. Is this about the right weight for his age? He's got a right little podgey tummy on him at the moment, and he's eating everything we offer him
I'm not sure to be honest as I'm not experienced with youngsters, but sounds about right. As long as you can't feel his ribs, spine and hips I wouldn't worry too much.
Yes, that sounds a good weight for a 5 week old. Dont get het up on exact weights though, all pigs are different and if he is gaining well, eating well and doesnt look overly thin/unweight dont worry. Just continue to weigh on a weekly bases.
