Baby Wipes On Guinea Pigs Bum Area

Wondering, I need to give celery a bit of a clean, she had an accident and is a bit smelly.

Can I use Johnsons Baby wipes on her bum area? Mainly her fur and back legs (its the pink packet ones)

I don't see why not. I use Andrex wipes on my piggie bums sometimes. A lot of stuff that is safe for babies is safe for piggies.

I use baby wipes on my pigs if needed, mainly to clean boar bits. They are used at the clinic I go to too.

Is it urine? if so a bum bath may be needed instead. Does she have a UTI? that can cause urine leakage as can a few other things.

She just has this habit of going to the toilet where she sits. She is 6 years old and isnt a spring chicken anymore.

She runs about when she wants to but she does love her house

That makes sense. If she is not moving about much you could always just get her checked over in case she has arthritis, I know of a few pigs with it who tend to sit in one place.

She does move around enough, but just likes her house for some reason.

She has been to vets and other than the chest infection, she is all ok

I think what has happened, is she has had a wee when her bum has been close to the house and has backsplashed on to her....

my piggy maisie had a habit of dragging her bum through urine occasionally too. i used to use a tiny bit of gorgeous guineas shampoo in warm water and a flannel and gently bum bath her that way
