Back from the vets!

Hi All,

I took Amber, Flora, Fleur and Kitty to the vets seeing as they shared a cage with Pearl who passed over yesterday. They are all fine, vet listened to their heart, had a good feel and checked for runny bums.

We thought it best to take them as Amber seemed a little down but obviously just missing Pearl. Also it puts your own mind at ease although we are on runny poop watch for a few days!

Vet was great, they are in Widnes...Andale vets. Oh there were the most cutest pups in their having their jabs! Adorable. Only charged me £20 for the four which I thought was good.

Anyway just thought I'd share, only had 3 hours sleep last night so need me bad now! :)

Oh bless you Louise, you are so caring with the piggies. I am glad they are all fine.

You need a lovely soak and an early night tonight - sounds good in theory eh - but us mums know its not that easy in practice ha ha.

I'm sp tired can even spell bed...haha! I might just do that Helen! Think I'll have an hour of Hamish McBeth and then relax a bit! :)) x
 
I'm pleased that the other girls are doing well. You're very devoted and it is best to have them checked even if it is just for peace of mind. Have a nice relaxing night now. You deserve it xx
 
Good that the others are all well, I hate mysteries illnesses in piggies :(

I was like that when Lennie was ill Lou, up all day and night and all the next day too :{
 
I've had a bar of crunch chocolate to keep me going! Just dreaded another being ill so soon if I get a good nights sleep tonight I'll be ok! I'm a nightmare on no sleep! :)
 
Of course, I'm desperately sorry about little Pearl, but so glad the others are alright. And what a great vet, that was a most reasonable consult fee.
 
Thanks guys, just been to bed not that I've been to sleep with a 4 year old climbing all over me lol! Girls seem ok. Fingers crossed. :)
 
aw lou, thank god they are all okay.

i think someone should be getting an early night tonight! why are you no in bed?!?
 
Haha Peter is just settling the girls down then I'm going to watch Being Human then bed! :))

I'm glad your other pigs are ok...it is scary how quickly they go down hill having a runny bum :(
 
Gosh, same vet practice as me. Wonder if they are in a group, mine used to be called Andale, then changed to Four Paws. None of the vets changed though, they are all the same. Have to agree, they are really good. xx
 
I had to laugh the vet was really young, I think its more of a case of me getting older haha!

But yep excellent, receptionist said I did the right thing. Poor love was up the wall listing all the pigs haha and I only gave her 4 of them! :))

Quite local for me too, I'm not far from Hough Green Station.
 
I had a piggy go the same way last month....I had the horrors thinking that all my others could go the same way as I have seven...but they didnt and they were and are all fine...so try not to worry...xxxxxx
