I know I thought that, but it literally says on the instructions she has given 7 drops lol twice a day

He’s on 7 drops of metacam twice a day does that sound right ? I thought it sounded like a lot lol
My pigs on 0.25 twice a day. What dya mean drops? I really cant tell you do what i do incase something happens. But how do you get a drop into your pigs mouth?

strange. I would call up and ask for a syringe feeding dose for it. It would be alot easier for you. 7 drops.could go over the dose. Whats a drop to me could be different to another persons drop

All of my pigs have had 0.25 (1/4 of the 1ml syringe) twice a day of metacam, 12 hours apart (roughly) They have all weighed around 1kg. Dont do this without a vet confirming. But just giving you an idea of what the vets will likely say

I'm assuming that your vet hasn't mentioned taking the top off the Metacam bottle, or hasn't taken the top off for you, so if you leave it on then a drop is quite easy to measure.

As it's a nightmare to get it out of the bottle if a vet has prescribed a dosage needing a syringe they usually snap the top off for you, or show you how to so you can get a 1ml syringe into the bottle.

Usually metacam is given using a syringe, I guess the metacam you have had a dropper on it.Try some plyers to get it off and ring the vets and ask what dosage each day x

Our metacam comes with a syringe calibrated for "dog weight" and we give a 1.5kg or 2kg dog dose like for chihuahuas or puppies I suppose... but last time we were at the vets fatty piggy Clover was bigger than at least 2 dogs in the waiting room!
