hello everyone,

lately, I've noticed my female guinea pig drops her legs, like dragging them when I pick her up. her body is all like dropping down and she won't use her nails to
grab my body as she used to when I picked her up in the past.
she is between 8-9 months old, had two births. the first time she had two little guinea pigs, the second time only one came out.
she is eating the same amounts as always, drinks properly and even running and playing with her boyfriend.
I am really stressed about it, does anyone had something similar?

Hi there. I would take your piggy to the vets to get her checked over. It is always better to be safe than sorry. Also I take it that her playmate has been castrated or else she will have continually keep having babies and it will inevitably cause health problems in the long term or even death. I hope that she gets better soon and that your vet can determine the cause

Hi!

If in any doubt, please see a vet and have her checked out. Two back-to-back pregnancies are tough on a sow and may have damaged her pelvic bone, depending on her and her babies size. A smaller number of babies often means that they are larger and therefore harder to get out.

How did the pregnancies happen?

Hey I will check her today at the vet, thank you! But now I let the boy and girl play together just because the boy had a surgery he can't get her pregnant anymore.

Thanks for the replay, I'll check her today with the vet!
The pregnancies were fine actually not any problems during... healthy babies too, but maybe you are right and there might be a problem that she had two pregnancies one after another. It wasn't planned... thank you I hope everything will be fine!
