Tonight I have found a patch on my boars belly which looks to be fungal!I have put a bit of sudocreme on it and I have malaseb shampoo which I will wash him with tomorrow

One of his eyes looks to be a bit sticky too,so I have cleaned it!

Looks like I have to bring him to the vets and check all the others for fungal infections!

I was only in the vet with my Tenrec on monday, and there with all the piggies on the 26th!

I wish I could get insurance!:0

You would think I didn't look after my pets!

What a pest! As you've caught it early it should be nice and easy to deal with - you need to keep an eye on all the rest of your animals (and family too) in case it is ringworm and it's been passed around already. It takes a few weeks to show so can be passed around without realising it.

F10 disinfectant is the best for killing fungal and it's spores to help prevent reinfection from the cage/furniture.

Sorry to hear this. I have the same problem with my boar at the moment. He has a large patch on his belly along with 2 other small ones and now a small bit under his eye. The vet thinks fungal and I'm treating with Ivermectin (just in case) and Kwench lotion from Gorgeous Guineas to ease the itching. Both the vet and Chrissie from GG said it may get worse before it gets better. I just bought the F10 disinfectant from Amazon and it came in 2 days.

Hope he feels better soon. Seems like there's a fair bit of this around at the moment. Is it the time of year maybe like for mites?

Oh no. I am really sorry to hear this. I really hope your baby recovers soon.

We are currently treating our new girls for fungal as well, hope your piggy is better soon.

After washing him with the anti fungal shampoo it looks better already!

I have had a look at the rest of my gang and they all look fine, but I'll keep checking!

They had hay mites a few weeks ago - they were a nightmare!

I must order some of the f10, I might be able to order it through work!

Thanks for the advice and replies, they have cheered me up!:)
