hi everyone my poor monkey has been to the vets again last week with a nose bleed and tonight, basically i decided to give them a bath and shampoo all was going lovely till i come to wash and wipe his penis it had white pus and blood i couldnt get it too fully come out as it was distressing him got straight on too vet and she saw him straight away got there at like 5 to 8, she managed to get his penis fully out and it was digusting it was covered in smelly pus things they looked like mouth ulcers the vet said she never seen anything like it, i asked the vet is it something ive done or not she said no as he should be tending to his penis himself but now ive come away with hisbisrub and baytril has anyone else had issues with their male pigs like this? she bathed it while i was there ive brought him home and just given them some veggies which he is eating I'm hoping thats a good sign.

I've seen a few boys with ulcerated penis, it's a painful and extremely stinky condition. I have found that applying a small amount of nappy cream to the extruded penis helps enormously, and it pops back in much more comfortably. I use Sudocrem, applied once a day after the 2% hibiscrub wash. It usually clears within a week.

hi suzy thanks for reply, can i ask is the sudocreme to be used once the scrub stuff is finished or whilst we are using it ? do you know what causes this type of thing?

thank you carrot and parsnip thats kind of you bless him. lucky i decided off the cuff to bathe them tonight so we can treat him quicker

Apply the Sudocrem daily during the time you're using the hibiscrub, once or twice a week after it has healed for a couple of weeks and then decide if you feel you need to continue. As I check the boys bits weekly I can spot any problems early and the sudocrem often stops them getting to the stinky stage.

It's hard to tell what causes it in the first place as it can be a one off or you can have a pig that is prone to it.

I can confirm this works - Bandit is very grateful to Aunty Suzy for sorting out his stinky willy whilst he was staying with her x>>
