Bag Storage And A Hay Holder?

If my boars are anything to go by poopy hay tastes better. I use large plastic trays lined with puppy pads. Big storage boxes with openings cut in or large cat littler trays are really good. At least once a day often twice I wrap the whole lot up in the pad and put in fresh. They love to burrow in piles of hay and Spike likes to scratch about in it like a chicken. :))

My lot prefer poopy hay too. I have hay bales with lovely fresh hay in them, but no they prefer the stuff that lines the hutch. This does get topped up quite frequently but they still eat the hay that they walk on wee and poop on!

So these are unsafe as pigs can get their heads trapped but what about using C&C grids?

I was thinking today of fixing my hay racks onto the C&C cages which would mean the girls pull the hay through the squares in the grids. I've seen people do this on here and also seen people use a C&C grid, bent as an actual hay holder.

Thing is, the grid squares are about the same size as the holes in these plastic bag holders so are they also not safe?

I think I’ll try and just bend some c and c cages. My grids are the the ones with 9 squares so they’re safe
