I cleaned out Bailey and Oscars cage yesterday and found bailey had done this!

I caught him doing it the other day and got some wooden toys to chew on but he keeps chewing the cage.

Does anyone know why he is doing this and what i can do to stop it?

I know it can be a sign of boardom but they have lots of time out of there hutch and toys to play with.

I would say he's doing it because he likes it. Mine chew certain areas & i can't stop them. :)

I am a bit worried he will chew all the way through lol

I was thinking of put some other wood infront of it but dont know what to use. Does anyone know if Cut Leaf Elm is ok?

My boys chew their hutches and the c&c grids ....strange but my girls aren't bothered, they're only interested in the food and their cardboard tubes, they don't even bother with the wooden toys or the rope toys.
The boys on the other hand like to chew everything and tip their food and veg bowls over.
Every morning their hutches and runs look immaculate but give the boys 5mins and everythings wrecked lol.

Yeah perhaps you are all right hehe its a boys thing :) I have put one of those rope with two wooden block chew things in that i got from P@H and he seems to be chewing that now :)

Just to put things right on the gender front, I can lend you some girls who can keep up with Bailey! :)):))

Hehe :) It is funny as you hear him him muching away at the wood then when you go out he sits there and pretends to look at something else and looks all cute like to say "i'm not doing anything wrong, its not me, look how cute i am" hehe :) And then as soon as you walk away he starts again lol
