Baking Soda?

Hi, I recently switched to fleece bedding, and I was wondering if it would be safe for them if I sprinkled some baking soda under the fleece liner to keep it from smelling from a distance? I’ve seen other people do this, but I just wanted to make sure it’s safe for them.

I wouldn't, baking soda is used in home made rodent poisons and will kill them if they manage to ingest any.
