Hi there. Just sticking my oar in here. It's good the pet shop are offering to help. However, personally, I would not be happy with the proposed arrangement. The reason for this is that in my experience the location of the outbreak right near the eye means that you really need oral medication and not topical medication. When I had a piggy with an outbreak of fungal right near the eye that was what my vet told me.
The oral medication is much more expensive than the imaverol dips, and can only be obtained from a vet. I suspect that is why the offer has been made (to limit costs). While in consumer law there is an obligation to mitigate your losses, in this instance I would prefer to get a proper assessment by a cavy savvy vet and the proper treatment plan prescribed by the vet rather than having effectively home treatment albeit by someone who obviously knows a lot about guinea pigs.
