Bald patch near eye

Hi guys first time poster, I purchased my 7 week old boar last week so he’s nearly 8 weeks, he was in brill shape when I got him and tonight iv noticed above his right eye is going bald , iv just googled and found a treatment for mange mites as this is what I think it could be but I’m unsure with me being a first time owner, attached a pic and thanks for any feedback, thanks so much x

It’s not possible to make a diagnosis from a photo, only a vet can do that. There are several things which can cause such baldness and you can’t assume it’s mange mites. You will need to have a vet check your piggy and give a diagnosis and the correct prescribed treatment

That looks more like a fungal infection than mites to be honest. I would get to a vet for accurate diagnosis so you can get on top of it asap

Poor thing. Looks a bit like ringworm, if so, the vet will give you medication. Mine are halfway through a course of it now. They started showing symptoms at the same age as your little boy.

Aw thanks for the reply hun. I took him gets and they have given Gina. Seven day’s course of antibiotics as they said they think it’s just an infected cut x

They said it’s just down to him scratching and messing with his cut x
