Hello,
Just noticed that one of my piggies has a completely bald spot under her head/chin. Any ideas what this could be? It doesn't seem to hurt her when I touch it? IL take her to the vets this Sunday but should I be more worried about it? Sorry for the bad picture, she couldnt sit still.15107731867281310700845.webp
Thankyou x

Is she itching at all? It looks like it might be ringworm so hygiene is key! The spores can spread so it's worth thinking about yourself and other animals that could potentially catch it.

I haven't seen her itching it at all. What sort of treatment would be used for ringworm ?
Thankyou

Antifungal treatment, which could either be an ointment or a wash I believe. Have you got other piggies? Are they showing any similar patches?

I don't think it would be mites due to the location but can't rule it out, the vets can though :)

I have 4 piggies all together, one which has just been treated for mange. Is there any shampoo washes that you can recommend? Non of the others show any signs

You'd have to go through the vets, as I said I can't actually diagnose anything as I've just seen a picture. If it is ringworm you don't wanna mess about with it as it's highly contagious and even you can get it. Once you have a full outbreak it's very hard to control so getting on top of it early is key :)
