Hello all,

One of my Piggies I noticed the other day has a bald patch no bigger than a cm by a cm under his chin. None of the other pigs have it and it doesn't look remotely sore almost just like the hair has fallen out, not been pulled or from and irritation. Could this be a problem or do you think it could just be where he gets wet under his chin eating and drinking?

Thank you for any replies

That is a difficult one!

One of my RIP piggies developed a bald patch there and it never fully closed up again despite both mites and fungal treatment.

Hmmmmm :/ it doesn't seem to be giving him any problem its exactly the same as it was when I first started this thread. Maybe I should just keep an eye on it if people cant think of any immediate problems?

I would just keep an eye on it; my boar had the same - just bald, but not irritated, scaly or inflamed skin.

Perhaps you can have a chat with Chrissie from Gorgeous Guineas; she deals with a lot of skin problems. I tried one of her creams, but it didn't really make a difference.
