My guineapig gilbert thhat i got 2 weeks ago has a bald patch on the back of his neck. its very small not even as big as a pea. i did notice he had it when i got him home after we bought him. i was just wondering if this was anythnig to worry about?
Most guinea pigs have bald patches behind their ears, if its not that then it could be mites, is he scratching a lot? just check through his fur, I was paranoid about this when I got my guys but the patches behind the ears are completely normal
A very small bald patch could be indicative of a healing bite/scratch wound and nothing to worry about. It you find a lump and it gets hotter than normal, is there something coming out of it?........well then that would be cause for concern
Brief response I know but have prevous (that's my excuse anyway)
