hi i gave my piggies a bath 3 weeks ago and decided yest to cut nails and put some spot on . i notice with freddie a little bald patch on his right leg on looking further notice a bald patch behind left ear so i checked baz over he also has bald patch behind left ear i did see them have the odd scatch but on looking their skin is dry underneath where the have been scatching . is this due to mites could not see any thing

It could be mites, you can't see them though they are naked to the human eye. Is the dry skin anywhere else? Guineas do have small bald patches behind their ears this is completley normal, but the dry skin is not.

thanks thats a relief i rang vets yest to book them both in but he said ring up on monday after 8.30. i will check about dryness. thank you again
