New Born Pup
Hello,
I'm hoping someone can help! I noticed a few days ago my boar has a bald patch about the size of a 50pence there are also two small scabs. I thought he had maybe just had a scuffle with his cage mate so I've been applying Lanolin which usually works with small scabs.
Although there seems to be no infection and he's eating and acting normal it doesn't seem to be healing, although it has not got worse the scabs are still there. He is an indoors pig and approx 3 yrs old and has lived with his cage mate all this time so there's no issues with fighting.
When I first got them (3 yrs ago)they did have mites but went through full treatment. It doesn't look like mites as he's not scratching and there's only one patch but I'm wondering if it could be anything else? The patch isn't flaky and he doesn't react at all when I touch it so there's no pain but I'm just a little confused? Doesn't anyone have any ideas of treatments or even what it could be? Obviously I will be taking him to a vet if it gets worse!,
Thanks for your help anyway
