Hi

I'm still a new piggy owner and had my 3 boys for a few weeks now.
I have 3 boars - all brothers 2 live together and 1 is on his own next to them. They are all about 18 months old.
As time goes on we are getting to know them, they are trusting us a bit better and all can be picked up now. As weve gotten to handle them more weve noticed they all have bald - well not completley bald but when you lift the hair its a bit thin underneath. And spotty.
We noticed it first on the single one as he was the first to be happy to be picked up but as it didnt look recent and wasnt weepy or such i presumed they were old from when he was being picked on. Bit since we have noticed they are all like that.in the same place on their backs.
Any suggestions - i could see if i could get a picture.
I need a vet visit anyway as i want their claws clipped and teeth checked but thought id ask on here about skin issues

Hi and welcome!

Please have them seen by a vet. It can be mange mites or fungal; a vet needs to decide it. Please do not treat on spec with pet shop products.

If the bald patches are all behind the ears, then that is normal as long as the bald spots behind the ears are symmetrical.

Thankyou.

I would never use pet shop products on my pets. Always medications from a vet.

Ill get them booked in.
