My 2 boars have been together since new years day. There's the odd bit of bickering but generally they sleep together and interact, share food etc.
Bathazar is about 18 months and Barnabas is about 7 months.
They are skittish occasionally but when i come downstairs or in from work they start squalking for food or attention. Balthazar will let me stroke him but Barney doesnt, is it a case of keep gently trying offering food etc? How do you pick them up when they just run off, I don't want to corner them but don't want it going ages between being held so they get used to it
Thanks 😊20190309_173644.webp

Your boars are gorgeous.
To pick mine up I empty the cage of hideys and then put in a pet carrier (you can use a box) they jump in the carrier and I close the door and lift the carrier out of the cage, it's then easy to lift them out of the carrier without the chase. It took a few times to get them to step into the carrier without a chase, a little favourite food in the box helps to train them. Going into the box and out of the cage always means food, I find you can train a guinea pig to do most things as long as it involves food! :))

Haha I trained Balthazar to go up to the hayloft with food.. they honestly do love food. Good idea with the carrier, I might try that as I don't want them to not be handled

You can use a snuggle sack, tunnel or box. Do it everyday, start lap time for a few minutes then build up a little at a time and always have treats at hand. He will soon associate lap time with treats and nice food x

They are both gorgeous x
