I’m just wondering if anyone has used these ?
My skinny pig Freddy has red soles on his back feet and I’m trying to reduce the contact his feet have with hay as I suspect that’s why despite soaking with Epsom salts / F10 they are not improving beyond a certain point.
They live on fleece and vet bed.
I have a kitten litter tray for the main hay pile but at bedtime I give them a bit of readigrass or oat hay - I think it’s better if it’s in a bowl that they can both access rather than Freddy treading in it - I’ve found some that are chemical free etc and of course if the boys eat it I don’t think it’d be a problem or would it?
Any advice would be great thank you 🥰

We have Beco brand low sided bamboo & rice husk bowls, we have had them a while now- the large one(cat size maybe ?)I use for grass deliveries & the little one(hamster size) was used for a short while as a temporary water bowl, and is now used as Loki’s top up feed bowl.

The bowls have been great, no pig has tipped one over yet, and the low sides are perfect. I only leave them in with our boys until whatever I have put in it has been eaten.

Bamboo I believe is safe for guinea pigs to eat, in small amounts, it’s part of the grass family.

I think the bowls are more expensive now, the mini one I bought second hand for £1, the pet shop locally were charging £6, which I couldn’t justify.
