Banana Skins

Just wondered how many of you guys let their pigs eat banana skins , don't my self but, i know a lot of keepers do as they are full of vit's
 
my previous piggy maisie was allowed banana as a treat and when she was poorly. it's not the best thing though because it's a fruit which should be fed rarely and because some think banana can cause 'constipation' (whatever the piggy equivalent is anyway)

my two piggies now don't have any fruit at all because of the sugar content. there are foods alot more suitable for them in nutrition terms :)
 
Yes, they can have them, but preferably organic ones, for obvious reasons. Banana skins have exactly the same nutrients as the fruit itself. I find that a number of my piggies prefer the skins to the fruit, actually. it is an occasional treat.
