Hi there.

Can my piggie eat banana and if so what part? All of it?
He is a fussy little soul really so any tips on other things to eat woudl be great!
I am lucky to work at Sainsburys so can get lots of cheap bits for him after work!

Thanks
Claire

My gps love banana, but just occasionally as a treat. They eat the whole thing skin and all! I usually wipe the outside with a damp cloth though to clean it. :)

I have never tried mine with the skin as well as the fruit. Will give that a go in the morning for breakfast. I only give banana about once a fortnight, about half a centimetre slice each. (Although bunging them up sounds quite tempting! lol) xx

My boys get it as a treat maybe once a month and love it, haven't tried them with the skin as wasn't sure if they were allowed it, now will see if they like that too. Beansprout loves it have noticed if Tufty isn't looking he will go and pinch his too! :))

Mine love banana too, skin and all. They seem to like playing with the skin - they eat the squidgy bit then start throwing the skin at each other :)) They steal it off each other, fight over it and play tug of war with it too, especially Wispa the baby of the group.

I have never thought of giving the skin!
Gucci my Skinny pig has a very fast metabolism (as all Skinnies do) so she has banana twice a week and she LOVES it, she does naturally seem to go for the sweeter fruits like grapes so perhaps it's because she knows she'll burn it off quickly? Next time I have a banana I am going to see if they like the skin :)
