I just wondered how many of you give your piggies banana? I have never given it to mine as there are so many different opinions on the internet but I would like to give it them. How much does everyone give there pigs of it?

Also I feed my piggies muesli as they don't like the nuggets and I prefer the muesli, I give them gerty guinea pig because I like the alfalfa bits in it for them too, but also read mixed things about that food to so just wondered what muesli people think is the best?

Sorry for all the questions, i'm just makin sure I am giving the piggies the best possible food and care as I have had some bad luck in the past :(

Thank you

Hello, piggies can have banana including the skin but only a small amount and not too often as it can cause constipation.
Mine are addicted to Wagg Crunch as they've grown up on this in the rescue. I've been gradually weaning them off it and on to Cavy Cuisine as it's much better for them. They just have a little sprinkling of the Wagg mixed in as a treat.
I think it's only babies that need alfalfa, too much can cause a build up of calcium and lead to stones. I think I've got that right, maybe someone can confirm either way?
