Adult Guinea Pig
This is a bit late but unfortunately we lost Bandit on the morning of 29 April at 3 and half yrs old.. He had a jaw infection and tooth removed weeks previously but had steadily been putting on weight and so we left him with the in-laws when we went to france. they weighed him daily and he was fine and eating etc the night before unfortunately when they went to wake them up the next morning he was lying on his side struggling to breathe. my father in law cuddled him and he passed in his arms. I was so upset that we were not with him but at least it was quick and he was held and warm until the end. 8... he was on of the first who set our piggie obbsession off and i will be grateful for the rest of my life that he did! eventhough it hurts to lose them it does nothing to compare to the happiness and joy they give us. we buried him next to the other boys and he looked so peaceful and well fed (still had hay in his mouth!) i hope he did not suffer .
