well as the title says he is sneezing just about everytime i enter the room, none of the other pigs do it this much and it has taken a few days for me to pin-point which cage it is coming from but i have seen its clearly him,it sounds like a cross between a sneeze and cough but I'm guessing thats how piggy sneezes sound?
could it be possibly hay fever?
i think i may have gotten a bad batch of meadow hay as for the first time in my life i have gotten hay fever since it arrive.

If it's affected you it may well be what's affecting your piggy - it sounds like the likely culprit to me to be honest :)

Check his breething - his chest should be clear and not rattly. If he keeps on just sneezing it will be the hay.

thanks,

yes i have been checking his chest to note any changes but it sounds clear with no rattles,i will keep an eye on him,i did mention it to the vet but she didnt even look into it and i dont think she would know anywayrolleyes

If necessary, dab a tiny bit of vicks on his nose to ease his breathing, if he sounds congested.

Certainly sounds like an allergy/hayfever, especially if you are affected yourself. I do as Wiebke said, I dab the *tiniest* bit of Vicks just under the nose. If the breathing becomes "grumbly", it is definitely not a URI and you can relate it to the hayfever, I found 0.2ml Sudafed Expectorant helps clear the chestiness.

In fact typing this I have just noticed that my hayfever pigs have not been affected by the recent change to Timothy hay, but they were often affected by the Orchard Grass - strange!

A sniff of Olbas Oil can also ease the breathing, nicer smell than Vick!
