Bar biting?

Should I be worried if one of my females is biteing the bars?

I saw online that sometimes they like the feel of it.

They have a good amount of room to run around. And chew toys. And she always does it from inside her wooden house thing.

Dunno what to make of it
 
Over the years I have had a couple of bar biters, including one who actually snapped her teeth off doing it (I am looking at you Ruby).
If it bothers you, you can always try adding a piece of perspex or cardboard over the main biting area, but in my expereince they just move elsewhere.

How on earth did she manage that?! oh, Ruby Ruby Ruby.

Comet used to bite the bars when I was feeding them...like literally in the half a second between me sitting down and handing out the food, he'd decide I was taking too long and go for the bars. I couldn't stop him from doing it if I'd tried, he'd've happily chewed his way through anything I put around the bars. I got lucky he didn't do himself damage, really.

Whereabouts is she chewing? Is it the front of the cage or the sides or...? Is it possible she's doing it to get your attention?
 
I do miss his daft antics, he was definitely the life and soul of the piggy party. It was just funny to watch him biting the bars at a hundred miles an hour when my hand would be halfway to the cage with pepper slices. Like seriously, what's the hurry, Blitzen's gonna steal it and you're going to have to come back for another one anyway. Life is too quiet without him around...even if I did have nightmares about him breaking his teeth.
 
My boys bar bite when they want food or floor time (which when i think about it, is every second of the day). I haven’t seen it as a problem, because once they realise they are not going to get their way they give up.
 
She's bites the cage at the side.

She seems to do it after running around the cage.
 
I have 2 little bar biters, and they bite bars all the time! When I was new to having Colt (I only had him at the time). I was so worried! I looked online and it is perfectly fine. Watch them tho. As Swissgreys said, you do not want you piggie(s) to break their teeth.

Can't imagine a vet being able to do much

Guinea pig teeth are constantly growing so often the tooth will just grow back without any problems. If a break was to occur You would still be wise to get a vet check done to make sure it isn’t sharp and to watch it grows back properly or that no other problems have occurred.

You are right - a vet can't do much other than check they are coming in straight.
When Ruby snapped her teeth we were 'lucky' that they came off straight.
They took a week or two to grow back fully, and in that time we switched to daily weighing to make sure she was getting enough food.
We offered pellet mush and also cut all of her fresh food into long strips with a veggie peeler.
We took her out of the cage 2 - 3 times a day and put her in a laundry basket with lots of food so she would have the chance to eat in peace and without having to compete with the others.
Ruby loved the laundry basket.
