Hi all! You've prob seen plenty of posts about this but i really need a lil bit of advice! A few days ago my shyest piggy pair started chewing at the bars during 1am - 9am, I truly believe they are doing it for food (nuggets). They did use to do it but stopped a while back. As of today, they started their early morning rattle at 1-2am, I ignored them putting on my headset + music, even with ignoring them they were on and off the bars to 8am. (Eventually i got up at 9am-ish to feed them their nuggets).
Is there any way to stop them, or kinda show them making a racket wont get them anything?

Unfortunately the best way to stop the bar chewing, is just what you did, ignore the demands and wait until the time you would normally feed your piggies.
We have a bar chewing monster/werepig, we offer pellets in the evening,( and veggies too.) might be worth changing your feeding schedule to try and prevent the early morning wake up.

If you pop the words bar chewing or bar biting or similar in the search box, there are a few old threads with multiple ideas on.

Somepiggies just can’t help themselves unfortunately.

I've covered Red's bars with rigid clear plastic like Perspex after he broke a tooth. I'm about to do the corner of Fizz and Fuzz's cage that's nearest the kitchen door in hope they won't move along the cage and start somewhere else!
