Over the past 2 days we have caught Meeka chewing Jimmi's hair at least 4 times and then walking away with a mouthful of hair! We're getting concerned as its getting to the stage where we think Jimmi is going bald from it and his hair is getting very thin. In the areas we think she's doing it, there is no cuts, scaly skin or dry skin just no hair?
Not really sure what we can do to help stop it or if there is any way? They have lots of enrichment and things to stop them from being bored?!

Try tee tree creem,
Dab a small amount on you finger, rub it well into both hands untill it sinks in and disaperes,
Hold the pig beeing barberd , enough to get the "Smell" on the area of coat. Being barberd
Aparentaly most pigs arnt fussy on the smell and will ovoid it

I cant advise on the barbering issue other than possible changes to environment causing stress? I would however be careful with tea tree oil- it is actually toxic to cats and dogs, and causes renal failure if absorbed through the skin or ingested. Some more expensive pet brands have higher concentrati ons of tea tree oil in their products, and they have actually caused toxicity in household pets. Small concentrations of it are tolerated in cats and dogs, but taking into consideration the size/weight of a gp, i dont use it.

I hope someone can give you any ideas on whats going on :)
