I think Sookie might be barbering Athena. Athena is on septrin at the moment, she can't stand taking it but Sookie seems to love it as when we put Athena back in the cage after she's had her medication Sookie immediately pushes Athenas head up so she can lick her mouth/face but she sometimes gets carried away and starts pulling on the fur. Athena just lets her, she's too placid for her own good at times so now her whiskers on one side are shorter then the other. At the moment it's not too much of a problem but I don't want her making a habit of it. Is there anything I can do to stop her doing it?

I would leave her be - barbering doesn't seem to bother the barbered piggy at all!

Licking up spilled medicine is a sign of caring and means that Sookie is integrated very well in your group. It will stop when Athena is off septrin and her air will grow back.

Glad it's nothing to worry about! Sookie has really bonded with Athena, wherever Athena is you can guarantee Sookie is close by, they seem to be very close, it's really sweet watching her following Athena everywhere

Ludo did this to Hoggle for ages but he seems to have stopped now and he has his lovely mane back, unfortunately, bar separating, there is nothing we can do but sit it out. Sookie will get bored one day. ;)
