Peter is somehow 'barking' at me. I haven't seen or heard about this before. He knows how to chirp but hasn't done it in a LONG time.

Dificult to tell from an explanation , any chance of a vidio with sound ?
Though if he lunging forward slightly as he do,s it? Could be somthing stuck in his breathing pathways!
And a vet would be your safest bet

I can't, he's stopped now but I'm sure he'll do it again soon.

We're going to the Wimbledon vet today (well 9am)
He doesn't seem to be lunging forward. As he does it, he moves normally. It's scary.

It didn't sound like a hooting noise at all? like a duck?

Hope you get some answers from the vets today and your little guy is alright!

If you're not satisfied with the results of the examination if you can go a little bit further to Ewell then Anne at Goddard Vets is a brilliant piggy vet.
