Barney is a big boy now

Have moved Barney out of Pepper's cage today and in with my other boar, as he was constantly humping her and all I can say is he's gonna have one hell of a surprise if he goes looking for mummies milk on Smudge ;D

It's 2 days short of him being 3 weeks old but I could see trouble brewing as pepper does not take kindly to being constantly humped by her own son :o

I am sooo lucky that Smudge is the most laid back boar ever and there have been no troubles between them as I've been introducing them for the last 10 days or so, only the odd bit of mounting , but Barney jumps on Smudges' back if he tries and it's so funny to watch them running around the hutch while Barney clings on for dear life ;D

Does anyone know if there could be tension when Barney reaches sexual muturity, i know it's a couple of months away but I want to be prepared, or will they have bonded enough by then?

It's hard to say, there might be but it really depends on the two guineas. Hopefully the bond will be to strong and Barney will not challenge Smudge for dominance. You really can't say. :)
 
I really hope so, Smudge is so relaxed and a big softy, I've never seen him display any aggressive behaviour, even when he lived with Pepper and she's a nightmare to live with. ;D

Just had a peek at them and all is well, even eating together, am surprised at the fact Barney hasn't wheeked for his mum and that pepper doesn't seem to notice he's missing ;D
 
Methinks so too :D

Smudge is so laid back I'll probably find him laid there with his paws behind his head just enjoying >:D ;D
 
Will get some of them together later. When I looked in on them this morning, they were both cuddled up together and the food bowl was completely empty for the first time ever even tho I filled it up about 10 last night.

Is it just me or am I really bad at taking photos? Can't seem to take them without red eye :tickedoff:

Barney is HUGE I know, he's 3 weeks tomorrow and weighs around 360g :o
